I just wanted to share some of the beautiful pictures I have been able to take this summer. I hope you've been able to get out and enjoy the beauty around you as well

Fall day

It's been unseasonably warm these last few days, however there was a bite in the air today as I did a couple of errands with my son.  Most of the leaves have fallen with the exception of a few brown leaves clinging to the branches of almost barren trees.  There are still a few colorful leaves out there to be found if you look hard enough.  I happened upon a bright red leaf in my yard today that looked so beautiful siting on the brown leaves in the grass I just had to take a couple of pictures if it.

I'm currently working on Christmas presents, I look forward to sharing very soon. But until then, I have been taking more autumn pictures from around this beautiful area that we live and call home.  I am truly blessed.

I am in love with the marshes this autumn.

I was early to work so I stopped in a little parking lot by a cemetery.  I decided on a whim to drive into the cemetery and found this little piece of heaven bringing me right up to the marshes.  Have I mentioned that I love the marshes?

Where did you find beauty this week?  Did you take the time to marvel at the beauty that's all around?

Beauty

 There's something about looking to the sky and seeing rays of sunlight shining through the clouds.  Or a tree that just seems to speak to you in it's perfection.

 Or how about a beautiful cow gracefully picking it's way through a field looking for that perfect mouthful of grass.....

One of the houses I work at has a tree full of peaches. this is one peach in three different looks.

 I can't choose which one I like best,

 and this one was just for fun.

Where did you find beauty today?

My own backyard

So this isn't technically from my backyard, but it's close.

I went for a walk on the Green Belt, it's a paved path that goes out behind my neighborhood.  It's actually quite a beautiful walk.  I did about 2 1/2 miles this morning.  It amazes me how much beauty I see when I actually look for it.  These pictures had my imagination running.  I was having all manner of thoughts racing through my head.  Who knows?  One of these days I might be writing a little fairy tale/ short children's story based on the pictures I have taken  and the thoughts they have inspired.

Nature Walk

Summer is a hard time to make the time to "get back to nature".  My son has a difficult time being outside, also with changes in the routine of our day.  He has gotten better at being flexible and more adventurous, but it is still a struggle.  We were able to go on a few walks, now I need to get him to slow down and enjoy the views, and the adventure of finding the unique and beautiful while out and about.  (He gets frustrated with me for not "keeping up")

One of the places we went was Two Lights.  There is always something beautiful to find there.....

 I couldn't believe all the types of mushrooms I found along the way...

 There's beauty even in the simple act of play....

Then there were other walks that were just as beautiful.

I look forward to finding more beauty in this wonderful place we call home.  Where will you find beauty?

Beginings

I have been through a lot of changes lately,  I also have come to realize that I am not taking care of myself.  One thing I have decided to do in this new chapter of my life is to add art back into my life.  How you may ask?  I have begun taking pictures.  I am by no means a photographer, but would love to become one during my journey.  I have always enjoyed creating.  In the past I have done scrap-booking, cards, a little mixed media thrown in there, crocheting, cooking,  music, etc.  However I have let a lot of that go over the years to devote my time and energy into everyone around me and not taking care of me. Today I have decided to change that.  Today I will start to:

 Look for the joy and love in the world.

 Look for the beauty,

 Look for the creativity, on your own and with your children,
